Denver Botanic Gardens Plant Sale offers members, the community and plant-lovers an opportunity to purchase high quality, rare & unusual plants in a forum where they can solicit knowledge and ideas from our experienced volunteers and horticulture staff.  A total of 12 divisions are represented at our Spring Plant Sale including: Water Plants, Water-Smart, PlantSelect, Annuals, Perennials, Herbs, Hanging Baskets, Rock Alpine, Fruits & Vegetables, Roses & Garden Grown.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at this year’s sale. We are excited that you will be a part of one of the Gardens’ largest and most popular events! Volunteers have the opportunity to assist with all aspects of the event from planning and organizing, to setting up, to providing customer service to thousands of customers. Read on to find out how you can get involved and register as a volunteer.

 Volunteer Positions

A variety of positions are available prior to and during the event including:

Front Gate Greeter/Attendance Counter

Check-Out Line Organizer

Plant Division Assistant

Plant Valet/Cart Retriever

"Digger" the Marmot Mascot

Set Up Assistant

Hospitality/Lunch Volunteer

 Time Commitment

A minimum of one, 4-5 hour shift.  An additional 1 hour training session is required for cashiers.

 Volunteer Benefits

Volunteers receive 10% off their plant purchases at the sale.  Lunch and snacks are also provided on Friday and Saturday.

 Who Can Sign Up?

Volunteer registration is available to individuals or groups 16 years of age or older.  You will need to have an email address to register online.

  How do I Sign Up?

Please read Steps 1 through 4 before beginning the registration process

 Step 1:  Begin the Process

To begin the online registration process, please click on the “Register Now” button on the right hand side of this page. Enter the system by typing your email address and creating a new password. Double check the address you submit…your confirmation will be sent to this email address.

 Next, complete the personal profile.

If you volunteered at last year’s event, the system will automatically load your previous profile information once you have typed in your email and password.  Please double check your information and update any changes at this time.

 *If you are part of a group, and would like to sign up under one group leader, please use your group leader’s email and password to log-in.

 Step 2:  Volunteer Waiver

Please read and accept the volunteer release waiver.

 Step 3:   Choose Your Volunteer Position and Shift Time

A variety of volunteer positions are available for you to choose from. By clicking on “description” next to the volunteer job title, you can see a short description of the job. If there is a padlock icon next to a job, this means that the job is filled and not available. Please choose another position. You may sign-up for more than one position as long as the times do not conflict.

 Step 4: Confirm

Follow the directions at the bottom of each page to confirm and complete your registration. A copy of your final itinerary will be emailed to you.
